Gundam Blitz Order Dev Notes Vol. 1

Hello!
We are the development team of Gundam Blitz Order.

Today, we are pleased to unveil this title as a brand-new Gundam mobile game.
Through this blog, we'll be sharing details about the game that we weren't able to fully convey through the official website and promotional video.

We hope this article will spark your interest in Gundam Blitz Order.

About Gundam Blitz Order

With Gundam Blitz Order, we're taking on a new challenge for Gundam games by developing the series' first idle game.

While there are many different styles of idle games,
Gundam Blitz Order is an RPG-style idle simulation game

where players collect and strengthen mobile suit units, increase their combat power,

and build strategic formations while considering the unique battle styles of each unit.

While some players may be new to the idle game genre, it offers unique benefits that help reduce the burden of gameplay. For example, upgrade materials which are used to strengthen units can be collected automatically, allowing players to progress more easily.

We hope many players will enjoy this new take on a Gundam game.

From here, we will explain the basic systems of this game.

About the Game System

The game features two distinct battle modes: one that progresses automatically at all times, and another that requires active player control and strategic thinking.

Let's start by taking a look at the mode that progresses automatically at all times.

About the Idle Gameplay

In the battle mode that progresses automatically at all times, your mobile suits will battle automatically and collect upgrade materials over time.

The upgrade materials collected in this mode can be stored for up to 24 hours. As long as you claim them once a day, you can continue strengthening your units without missing out on any materials.

This battle mode allows you to assign any mobile suits from your collection to your squads, and the selected units will automatically take part in battles.

As you progress through the game, the number of squads you can deploy will increase. The more squads you have deployed, the more rewards you can earn.

About the Active Gameplay (Battles)

Next, let's take a look at the mode that requires active player control and strategic thinking. This mode features three main gameplay elements.

▼Unit Synergies and Squad Building
Each unit belongs to a "class" that defines its unique strengths and weaknesses.
For example, the Gundam belongs to the Guardian class.

The Guardian class excels at defense, taking enemy attacks head-on and protecting allied units so they can perform at their full potential.

There are six classes in total: Guardian, Striker, Assault, Artillery, Sniper, and Support. Each class has its own unique strengths and abilities.

Success in battle depends on building your formation with each class's strengths and weaknesses in mind.
In some situations, you may need to consider not only the synergy between your own units, but also their compatibility against the enemy.

▼Formation and Deployment
Before entering battle, players can choose which units to deploy and determine where to deploy them on the battlefield.
Choosing which units to deploy and where to place them in your formation is key to maximizing the strengths of each class.

For example, Artillery-class units offer powerful offensive capabilities but lack durability, so it is generally better to deploy them farther from the enemy.

Furthermore, some Artillery-class units are capable of hitting multiple enemies along their line of fire. Positioning these units with their attack trajectory in mind can help maximize their effectiveness.

In addition, Assault-class units rush straight toward specific enemies, prioritizing them as their targets,
while Support-class units excel at healing allies and providing them with buffs.

Since each unit has its own unique characteristics, carefully considering how battles are likely to unfold when selecting and deploying your units will be key to achieving victory.

▼Unit Skills
Each unit has their own unique skills.
Among these features, EX Skills stand out as powerful abilities that can turn the tide of battle when used effectively.

EX Skills can be activated at any time after a certain amount of time has passed.

[EX Skill Activation][EX Skill Activation]

EX Skills can also be set to activate automatically. When auto mode is enabled, a target or a location will be selected automatically, and the EX Skill will be activated as soon as it becomes available.

This setting can be changed at any time during battle, allowing you to adjust your approach flexibly depending on the situation and the effects of the EX Skills.

▼Other Features
Today, we've introduced three gameplay features in broad terms,
but there's much more we'd like to share in the future.

We'll be covering other features in more detail in future articles, so stay tuned!

Unit Skill Visual Effects

Now that we've touched on EX Skills, we'd also like to introduce the visual effects when they are activated.

These visual effects are designed to reflect each unit's unique characteristics, as well as the effects of its skills, and are played whenever an EX Skill is activated.

We've put a great deal of effort into all of them,
and we'd like to share a few of them with you today.
